Sniffing out the best in wines
An electronic nose, known as the cybernose, will be developed following a $4 million collaboration between researchers from Monash, the Australian National University and CSIRO's Food Futures National Research Flagship.

Monash and IBM engineer new talent
Final-year students in the Bachelor of Software Engineering had both their skills and job prospects boosted last week when IBM conducted a series of workshops that reinforced the strong ties between Monash University and the company.

Professor Keith Murray, from Monash's Department of Chemistry, has been awarded the first life membership of the Monash University Rugby Club.

     
 

Riding high in Vietnam
When Monash Research Fellow Ms Angela Clapperton undertook a four-month stint as an injury prevention volunteer with the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Hanoi, she regularly saw the consequences of serious motorbike accidents on Vietnam's busy roads.
