Faster optical communications on track
Monash researchers scooped the pool of prizes -- including the $100,000 Peter Doherty Prize for Innovation -- at the Commercialisation Expo 2006 last week for their work in developing faster optical communications.

     
 

Malaysian dignitaries visit medical research facilities
A delegation of Malaysian dignitaries were last week taken on a guided tour of facilities at the Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories and the Australian Stem Cell Centre at the Clayton campus

Garden-inspired drawing wins art prize
A PhD student and lecturer in Monash's Department of Fine Arts has won a major prize in the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery Acquisitive Award.

     
 

Professor reappointed to NHMRC
The Deputy Director of Prince Henry's Institute, Professor Jock Findlay AM, has been reappointed to the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for the next three years, from 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2009.
