Malaysia's Foreign Minister addresses forum
The Malaysian Foreign Affairs Minister, the Honourable Dato' Seri Syed Hamid Albar, has urged Australia and Malaysia to focus on mutual long-term interests to strengthen the long-standing, positive relationship between the two countries.

     
 

Grant to further MS research
Professor Claude Bernard from the Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories has received a generous grant from the Baker Foundation to assist in the generation of stem-cell therapies for multiple sclerosis (MS).

Program brings success to Malaysian medical students
A Monash program designed to prepare Malaysian Government-sponsored students for the university's Australian medical program is continuing to prove successful, with three students receiving Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences awards.

     
 

Gippsland lecturer wins rural health award
Monash senior lecturer Ms Anne Leversha has won a 2006 Rural Health Award for her work in health education and professional development in the pharmacy profession.

Peace mural unveiled
A group of primary school students have painted a giant anti-war mural as part of the Kid's Guernica International Peace Project and unveiled their artwork at Monash's Peninsula campus.

     
 

International Plan delegates visit Community Family Co-Op
Fourteen international delegates from the international community development organisation Plan last week visited the Monash Community Family Co-operative to observe Australian childcare in action.
