For around a fifth of the world’s population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. 

Come and hear Professor Greg Barton explore this ancient religion, its beliefs and practices, as well as some common misconceptions.

Presenter: Professor Greg Barton, Herb Feith Research Professor, School of Political and Social Inquiry.  Greg is acting Director of the Centre for Islam and the Modern World, Deputy UNESCO Chair in Interreligious and Intercultural Relations – Asia Pacific, and is active in the Global Terrorism Research Centre (GTReC).
