Description:
It is said that every writer possesses an internal editor. But what if that editor gets paid more than the writer and is always out working for other people? Editor and novelist Glenys Osborne will talk about how she fared on the journey from the ‘no’ of the editor to the ‘yes’ of the writer, and what she found out along the way.
Glenys Osborne works as a freelance editor, teaches editing in RMIT’s Master of Communication and is fiction editor for the creative journal Etchings. Her first novel, Come Inside (Clouds of Magellan, 2009), won the Barbara Jefferis Award and was shortlisted for the Age Book of the Year Award, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize – Best First Book and the Dobbie Encouragement Award.
