Blackboard Open Access for students

Blackboard Open Access allows you to enrol yourself in an open access section via the my.monash portal. There are no enrolment fees for Blackboard Open Access sections. When you click the [ add me to this section ] link for a Blackboard site, it will appear in your My Blackboard Course list.

You will not be able to use open access to enrol in Blackboard sites which are linked to current subjects. You will need to enrol in subjects through the Web Enrolment System (WES). This will give you access to the Blackboard site for that subject. See http://www.adm.monash.edu.au/enrolments/wes/wes.html for more details on enrolling through WES.

Please note: You cannot use Blackboard Open Access to change your enrolments, or remove Blackboard sections in which you are officially enrolled

Enrolling in an Open Access Blackboard site

1. Login to the My Monash Portal (opens in a new window)

2. Once you have logged in, click the MUSO link next to My Units

3. Under MUSO Learning Systems Click Open Access

4. Under the heading Available Open Access Selections you will see a list of MUSO sites which are available through the MUSO Open Access. Find the site you want to be added to and click add me to this section.

5. The page will refresh. At the top of the page you will receive a confirmation message similar to below .

6. If you scroll down the page you should see the subject that you have enrolled in appear under Current Selections.

You are now be enrolled in the Open Access Blackboard Section.

Unenrolling from an Open Access Blackboard section

Please Note: You cannot use Blackboard Open Access to remove MUSO sections that you are enrolled in officially

1. Under Current Selections find the subject that you want to un-enrol from and click remove me from this section.

2. Click Remove me from this section.
