How to view announcements in Blackboard

The Announcements tool allows you to view important notices for a section.

View a pop-up announcement

Announcements may be automatically set to pop-up in a new window for a section. If your teacher has set the announcement to appear as a pop-up, it will appear when you first log in to the section in Blackboard.

View an announcement via Course Tools

Click on Announcements in the Course Tools menu to view current and previous announcements.

Note: A green asterisk next to the Announcements icon on the Course Tools menu indicates new announcements(s) have been posted since your last session.
