Blackboard Browser Settings - Windows XP/2000/Vista

Below is a list of browsers supported by Blackboard which we have tested and configuration instructions (you can click on the browser name or icon to download the browser). Click on the "Configuration Instructions" next to the browser you wish to use.

You will also need to install a supported version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

To determine your current browser version:

  • Open your browser (eg Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox)
  • From the browser menu bar, select Help
  • Select About. If there are several, choose the one "About (your browser)".
    For example "About Internet Explorer". A screen will appear that shows your browser name and version.
