MUSO Support - Common Problems / Known Issues

Below is a list of common queries that MUSO Support recieves from students.

Most common problems are related to settings on your computer which need to be changed in order for Blackboard to work correctly.

There are also some known issues with Blackboard which at this time are unresolved. This page is also designed to inform students of problems they may encounter, and any workarounds (if available).

These issues are listed in Alphabetically by the tool you are trying to use. Clicking on the link under More details will provide more information and workarounds if available.

Downloading PDF Files - Students receive an error message similar to the one below:

"Generic Exception-Invalid permissions to execute action. com.webct.platform.tools.page.command.GetPageCommand VistaRequestImpl[deliveryContextId:0, currentLCId:19907, urwPathParameters:null, VistaSession:ID:authcate"

Students using Internet Explorer trying to download files from Blackboard receive the following error message:

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for more options..."
