Staff Access to MUSO

Accessing Existing Blackboard Sites

Teaching access to Blackboard is not automatic. This is a manual process which is usually performed by the Faculty Administrators when sites are created.

If you do not have access to an existing Blackboard site, you can request access by filling in the Access Request Form (staff only)

Blackboard site creations

Blackboard sections are generally not created automatically each semester. Unless you are contacted by your Faculty or Unit Administrator telling you that they are creating a Blackboard site for you, will need to request that a Blackboard site is created each teaching period.

You can request a new Blackboard site by filling in the Site Creation Form

Browser Configuration Instructions

Blackboard requires that your computer is set-up correctly for it to work properly. Please check your browser settings and make sure that you have the correct version of Java installed to use Blackboard and that your Browser has been set up to allow you to download files and allow pop-ups for Blackboard.

The Browser Configuration page has instructions on setting up compatible Internet Browsers for Blackboard
