A user is unable to remove a file

Symptom

A user is unable to remove an attached file as the file name contains the characters %20

Severity

Minor: may affect lecturers and students and will not cause an interruption to normal business activities.

User roles affected

Lecturers, Designers and students

Workaround

To prevent this from occuring:

• Avoid using additional characters in your file names such as ( ). When saving files from Blackboard to your computer the system may replace the characters ( ) with % and a number.
• Please remove %20 characters from file names before attaching or uploading to Blackboard.

If a file is uploaded to Blackboard with %20 characters in the file name a request can be made to MUSO Support to have the file removed.
