Respondus does not connect to Blackboard

Symptoms

Respondus is not connecting for some specific users to Blackboard during the Publish or Retrieval step.  The connection process does not move from the connect screen, it appears to have stopped.

Severity

Minor: May affect lecturers and designers and will not cause an interruption to normal business activities.

User roles affected

Lecturers, Designers who use Respondus.

Resolution

The vendor believes this issue is resolved with Blackboard Vista 8.  As yet this is untested.  Monash University is expecting to implement Blackboard Vista 8 in time for S1 2009.
