Replacing files in file manager

Symptoms

When a user uploads multiple files with the same filenames to replace existing files using the “Upload file from your computer” option, the user receives a “null” value on the Resolving naming conflicts screen instead of the file name.

Moderate

May affect teaching staff or students and cause interruption to normal business activities.

Resolution

The issue has been reported to the vendor. We are waiting for an outcome from the vendor’s investigation to be able to provide a time line for when the issue is to be fixed.

Workaround

Replacing files individually using the My Computer applet provides the file name and options to manage the naming conflict.
