Discussion printable view: nesting squeezes messages

Symptoms

The printable view of some discussion threads displays so many nesting indicator lines that the most recent messages in a long thread are squeezed to only a few words in width.

May affect some teaching staff and students when printing discussions with long threads.

• lecturers and designers
• students

Resolution

The vendor is aware of the problem.

Workaround

Enable the Mail tool in your section (and then disable it after you've finished printing). Note that doing this causes all messages to be left aligned, ie there is no nesting at all.

To enable Mail tool: Teach tab > Manage Course > Tools > Select Mail
