New message icon still appearing after messages have been read

Symptoms

After reading discussion messages within Blackboard, messages that have been read still display the new message icon (green box with white star in the centre) in the Course Tools list in the Teach and Student View tabs.

Severity

Moderate

May affect teaching staff or students and cause interruption to normal business activities.

Resolution

The vendor has been made aware of the problem and is working towards a resolution.
