Deleting announcement issues

Symptoms

Can't delete announcement.

Severity

Medium

Under certain circumstances only the Institution Administrator will be able to delete an announcement.

1. No expiry date set when the announcement was created.
2. The person who created the announcement is not available to delete it.
3. Announcements created in Student view can only be seen by students (and the Institution Administrator).

User Roles Affected

• Unit Leader
• Lecturer and Designer
• Student

Resolution

The vendor is aware of the above issues. Issue 2 is expected behaviour.

Workaround

• Always apply an expiry date when you create announcements.
• Do not create announcements in the Student View tab.

To remove announcements created without an expiry date or if the author is not available, contact MUSO Support.
