Dr Michael Lenné is a Senior Research Fellow at MUARC working mainly in the area of human factors psychology. He has a PhD in Experimental Psychology and is a registered Psychologist. Michael has significant experience conducting research in the road safety, aviation and maritime environments.
He is currently managing simulation-based projects examining the influences of alcohol and drugs on driving, and the development and evaluation of a team-based training program for young drivers. He is also involved in field-based evaluations of various road safety countermeasures. He also manages a major aviation safety project that seeks to develop new data collection and incident investigation procedures for aviation insurers, with the aim of developing a database to enhance General Aviation safety.
He is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Australian Aviation Psychology Association, and the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs, and Traffic Safety.
