Julie Lahausse joined MUARC as a Research Fellow in 2006, and is a registered psychologist. She received her Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Melbourne in 2005, with her thesis focusing on the physical and psychological benefits associated with corporate fitness centres. Julie has been involved in a number of studies investigating the potential for various vehicle safety technologies to reduce road trauma and their corresponding level of cost-effectiveness, including the TRACE (TRaffic Accident Causation in Europe) project. Her other research interests include driver and road user behaviour, and the protection of vulnerable road users.
