Monash College Unit GuideMATHEMATICS FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (MCD1390)PurposeMathematics for Information Technology introduces learners to the mathematical concepts of discreet mathematics and computational skills needed for a variety of IT applications and decisions. It intends to introduce logical thinking necessary for Mathematics and IT. This unit is designed for learners undertaking information technology, computer science, and software or hardware engineering courses at tertiary level. PrerequisitesMCD1150 Mathematics for Business or MCD1050 Introductory Mathematics or equivalent standard. Learners are also expected to competently use a scientific, or graphics, calculator to carry out basic arithmetic operations Learning outcomesAt the completion of this unit students will be able to:
