VISUAL ARTS STUDIO A (MCD1340)

Purpose

The general aim of this unit is to, in conjunction with Unit B, facilitate a greater understanding of visual arts studio practice in 2D and 3D studies.

Prerequisites

Admission to the course.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1. Develop a greater understanding of 2D and 3D practice through the given projects.
2. Explore their personal understanding of 2D and 3D practice in relation to the selected modern art movements.

Body of work - Sculpture: 33%

Body of work - Printmaking: 33%

Body of work - Painting: 34%
