DRAWING A (MCD1270)

Purpose

The general aim of this unit is to, in conjunction with Unit B, introduce basic drawing skills to the students.

Prerequisites

Admission to the Diploma course.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1. Demonstrate some understanding of the perceived proportion of forms.
2. Represent from observation, three-dimensional forms in space.
3. Begin to demonstrate an understanding of the structure of forms.

Assessment

Examination Folio 100%, of which at least 20% will be assessed by mid-trimester.
