Monash College offers full-fee with direct entry into second year of more than 50 selected Monash University degrees.

FEE-HELP

Australian citizens studying at Monash College are also eligible for the Commonwealth government's FEE-HELP loan scheme that assists students to pay their tuition fees. FEE-HELP can cover all or part of a student's tuition fees, up to a lifetime limit of A$80,000. The A$80,000 FEE-HELP limit is indexed each year. A loan fee of 20% applies to FEE-HELP loans for undergraduate courses of study. The A$80,000 FEE-HELP limit does not include the loan fee.

Monash College bursaries

Monash College Access and Equity Bursaries are available for applicants to the Monash College Diploma in Business, Part 2 at the Peninsula campus.

Each bursary is worth around A$12,000 and is used to reduce your tuition fees to a cost equivalent to that of a CSP at university. Holders of Monash College bursaries arte guaranteed a CSP when they transition to second year of the Bachelor of Business and Commerce at the Peninsula campus.

If you are an Australian citizen and have found it difficult to get into a university course, take up a university offer, continue your enrolment or make time for your studies because of your current circumstances, we encourage you to apply for support under the Access Monash program.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To be eligible you must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizens, holders of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa

The Monash College Access and Equity Bursaries could give you the support you need to stay enrolled and complete your course.

If you decide to apply for one of the Monash College Diplomas in Business and Information Technology at the Peninsula campus you may consider applying for a Monash College Access and Equity Bursary. Each bursary is worth around A$14,000 and is used to reduce your tuition fees to a cost equivalent to that of a Commonwealth-supported place at university.

Access Monash bursaries

Access Monash is a program that provides financial support through bursaries to eligible students who might otherwise not take up the opportunity to go to university.

Refunds

Eligibility

Students may be entitled to a refund due to

  • overpaying tuition fees
  • discontinuing units before the census date
  • withdrawing or intermitting from the course before the census date

Any student discontinuing a course or unit enrolment after the census date is liable for the fees in full.

Credit in a student’s account will be applied to any other debts held by the student before a refund is issued. This may result in no refund being available. Other debts may include halls of residence or library fines.

Note:

  • For refunds students should allow 4 weeks for their applications to be processed.
  • Refund applications are not processed during the change of enrolment
  • Under Banking Regulations, where a credit card is used for payment Monash University must refund that credit card. An application form can either be downloaded or obtained from the Student Services Centre or a refund can be processed to a credit card at any Cashiers Office. Please do not supply your credit card details through the on-line application form
  • The Fees Section undertakes regular reconciliations of student accounts and will advise of any credit available to current and previous students by letter sent at the end of each year. Any credit may be refunded or applied to the next charge levied by the College.

Unclaimed monies

Students who do not claim their refunds for tuition/amenities fees from the Fees Section within two years, must lodge a claim, in writing, to:

Refund processing

Refund forms are not processed during the change of enrolment period (two weeks either side of the commencement of studies) due to the variable nature of students' course load. The exceptions to this are where there is a total withdrawal or intermission from the course or a change in enrolment status from full-time to part-time.

Refunds are made by cheque to the student unless the original payment was made by credit card.

Credit Card Refunds

Under Banking Regulations where a credit card is used for payment, Monash University must refund that credit card. With all other payment methods a cheque will be issued and sent to the current address on the Student Database unless otherwise notified.

Telegraphic Transfer Refunds

Students requesting a refund, where the original payment was made by Telegraphic Transfer, are required to have the original payer authorise who the refund is to be paid to. The form needs to be filled out and attached to the refund application. Please download the form.

Tuition Fee Refunds
Full-fee or Student Contribution Amount upfront

Domestic students who have made a tuition payment direct to Monash are entitled to a full refund if they withdraw from a unit prior to the unit census date.
