Welcome from the Executive Principal of Monash College"Congratulations on considering Monash College. By choosing Monash College, you are choosing to study with a group of like-minded students focused on success and excellence and you are making the right choice for your future." Monash College – the conceptStudents attend Monash College because they appreciate the strong levels of support, the excellent teachers and the stimulating university environment. Our students have quite diverse backgrounds – some are straight from school, others are returning to study after a break of some kind. Some students are international students, and some are domestic students. No matter which Monash College teaching partner you choose, you’ll join a community where the common theme is striving for a degree from Monash University - your passport to your future career and a great preparation for a successful life. Our focus on 'learning about learning' ensures you will become master of your own destiny – an independent learner who understands exactly what is required in tertiary education, and how to achieve your goals. At Monash College you will be well supported to achieve those goals – and because we teach for three trimesters each year, you’ll find you can enter your chosen Monash University degree more quickly and better prepared. Results show that students who successfully undertake Monash College diploma program complete their Monash degrees in the same time as those who entered directly into the University. Our Global NetworkMonash College programs are taught in Australia at Monash University's Clayton, Caulfield and Peninsula campuses in Melbourne and around the world though selected international partners in China, Indonesia, Singapore and Sri Lanka. Each Monash College teaching partner guarantees the same rigourous approach to quality of teaching and curriculum for the higher education undergraduate diplomas they offer; but each has unique characteristics that allow choice by the student and their family. because we are committed to providing an experience that is tailored to the needs of our diverse groups of students. Additional academic support will assist with the transition to University. At the same time as building a strong focus on the work required there is still time for some fun – attending excursions, relaxing in the student common room or joining in with a social or sporting group. Small class sizes mean you will be well supported and get to know your fellow students and teachers personally and you will form life long friendships across all cultural boundaries. I wish you well in your future studies and we look forward to working with you. Ms Sue Bell > Welcome from the Principal, Monash College programs – Guangzhou, China |
