The following organisations have enjoyed a long association with the Alexander Theatre, presenting some of the most varied and exceptional performance the venue has seen.

Melbourne Theatre Company

Melbourne Theatre Company is the longest established professional theatre company in Australia. At the end of 1999, MTC had produced 647 plays over 47 years. It has been an integral part of the development of a strong theatre industry in Australia and is a cornerstone of Melbourne's performing arts industry.

Garry Ginivan Attractions

Garry Ginivan Attractions is one of the foremost producers of children's theatre in Australia. Adapting every child's favourite stories, Garry Ginivan Attractions' prolific collection includes Winnie The Pooh, Puff The Magic Dragon, The Magic Faraway Tree and the Australian classic, Possum Magic. Regularly touring throughout Australia, to capital cities and regional centres, Garry Ginivan Attractions presents the very best in theatre for children.

International Concert Attractions

One of Australia's leading entertainment producers and presenters, International Concert Attractions have toured artists such as concert pianist David Helfgott and Yehudi Menuhin with the Sinfonia Varsovia; and shows such as Certified Male with Glynn Nicholas. Their children's entertainment division presents a range of ABC for Kids productions including Bananas in Pyjamas, and Channel 9's Hi 5.

The Academy of Indian Music

The Academy of Indian Music was formally inaugurated in May 1988 for the purpose of fostering the development of Indian Classical music in Australia, particularly in the Karnatic tradition. It acts through the provision of educational facilities for students, and the presentation of concerts by local and overseas artists.

Carnatic Music Circle

Carnatic Music Circle (CMC), Melbourne was formally established as a non-commercial, non-profit, non-registered association in December 1992.

CMC is, today, an important community--based non-profit organisation, which attempts to develop and spread the appreciation of Carnatic music in Melbourne.

CLOC Musical Theatre

In 36 years CLOC Musical Theatre has staged over 70 musical productions and has grown from a choral society to a vibrant community based arts provider. Since its inception, CLOC has staged shows ranging from operettas such as Die Fledermaus and The Merry Widow to contemporary works Evita, Chess and Les Miserables.

CLOC is a major provider of accredited training in theatre technology for universities, TAFE colleges and secondary schools - all at no cost to the community. CLOC is also committed to providing young people with work experience where they would not otherwise have the opportunity.

As Victoria's leading non-professional music theatre company, CLOC's approach to every aspect of theatre production is entirely professional.
