Our final offering is a celebration of the partnership between soloist and orchestra and celebrates Monash’s 50th year with two commissions. When two of the world’s great trumpeters face off in the premiere of David Stanhope’s Battle Concerto, YOU are assured of being the winner! Our season climaxes with Felix Mendelssohn’s choral and orchestral masterpiece Lobgesang, an invigorating universal thanksgiving on the words of the last Psalm, Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord!
