Naomi Edwards - Director
Naomi is an accomplished theatre director and teaching artist. She has directed productions for theatre and opera in Australia as well as internationally, including Noye's Fludde Victorian Opera, Who's Afraid of The Working Class VCA Drama, Rabbit Hole Red Stitch, Don's Party Assistant Director STC/MTC, The Ash Girl Monash, Big Sky Town St Martins, Il Re Pastore Lyric Opera of Melbourne, Actors At Work Bell Shakespeare Company, Carmen Assistant Director, Opera Australia, Agoraphobics Clinic RADA, London, Plasticine Birmingham School of Acting, Mud VCA School of Drama, Melbourne Fringe, and Saving Anne London, Michigan, New York.
Naomi’s teaching credits include the Arts Centre, St Martins, National Theatre, Bell Shakespeare, VCA, Monash University; Deakin University, Lyric Hammersmith, RADA. She was awarded the 2000 YPAA Directing Mentorship. Naomi is a VCA graduate in Direction, and a board member of Theatreworks.
Andrew Bellchambers – Designer
Andrew graduated from the Victorian College Of The Arts in 2005 with a Graduate Diploma In Design, where he received the Fergus Chandler Memorial Scholarship For Design.
Some of his recent set and costume design credits include Kill The Wolf- 9minds, Batboy The Musical- Bapa, Rabbit Hole-Redstitch, Winter’s Tale (Greenroom Nomination)- Eleventh Hour Theatre, Pillowman (Assistant Designer)-Melbourne Theatre Company.
Upcoming design work includes: A Man For All Seasons – Melbourne Theatre Company (Education) and Marriage Of Figaro- Melbourne Opera. Andrew attended the Prague Quadrennial (World Theatre Design Exhibition) in June last year and has been a panel member for the Green Room Awards for the last two years.
Michael Coe - Lighting Designer
Michael's research interest is in theatre design (set, props, costumes) and its relationship to architectural space. He is also investigating the development and application of a methodology for actors and directors to expedite the rehearsal process, unifying both text based and physical theatre.
He has been active in Australian professional theatre since 1978 and worked extensively in every facet of production making and performance. In particular, Michael has worked for community main stage theatre for young people and theatre in education companies devising new works and performing extant texts. During his professional life he has toured through most of Australia bringing theatre to many outback and remote regions.
His most recent work includes designing the set, lighting and costume for Rent the musical staged by Stellar Entertainment.
