Each year our staff produce reports on a broad range of topics across the spectrum of injury prevention.
Following the success of this course in 2012, MIRI will be offering advanced training in road safety management and leadership. Details on the Road Safety Management Leadership Program website.
Acute care represents the front line of health professionals who respond to urgent injury situations. It covers the work of emergency specialists such as ambulance officers, hospital emergency room staff, and trauma surgeons.
Monash has a vibrant and rapidly expanding research interest dedicated to acute care. The University's researchers are involved in high-level partnerships with senior industry, government, specialist medical and other professional and academic personnel. This involvement ranges from providing advice and expertise, through to working with injured people and their carers from the time the injury occurs to pre-hospital, hospital and rehabilitation care.
MIRI draws together world-class researchers from across Monash University's health, physical and social science fields to help define the challenges within acute care, identify their causes and develop solutions.
