The Monash Accident Research Foundation was established to raise money and awareness for injury prevention research on the road, in the home, in sport and recreation, and at work. You can help us make Australia safer by making a tax deductible donation to the Foundation. Donations of $10,000 or more will contribute to research projects or courses and will be acknowledged in all publications and any associated public events. Framed Certificates of recognition will be presented in each instance.

Bike It Baw Baw: Drivers and cyclists in the Baw Baw Shire area

We invite drivers and cyclists who regularly travel in the Baw Baw Shire area in Gippsland to complete an online survey.

The study aim is to identify the main safety issues related to drivers and cyclists sharing the road.

The study was initiated by the Baw Baw Shire Council and is funded by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). The findings will be used by the Baw Baw Shire Council to identify safety concerns and target programs and strategies to improve safety conditions for cyclists and drivers when sharing the road.

You need to be aged 18 years or over and regularly drive or ride a bicycle in the Baw Baw Shire area.

VicRide: On-Road Coaching

Get feedback on your riding style from an experienced motorcycle rider trainer as part of the VicRide: on-road coaching program

The program is being delivered as part of a research project to understand the impact of the VicRide: on-road coaching program on motorcyclist safety.

Participants needed for Driver Simulation Study

MUARC is conducting an experiment in the driving simulator to examine drivers' behaviour and performance in urban traffic environments. The study will require you to drive along a simulated route and you will complete questionnaires about yourself and your driving.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be aged 22 to 50 years
  • Be fluent in English
  • Hold a current car driver's licence and currently drive

The experiment will take up to 1.5 hours and participants will receive $25.
