Our resources

MUARC researchers assemble, maintain and analyse some of the most comprehensive road crash information databases in Australia. We are also home to the Victorian Injury Surveillance Unit, which has been analysing, interpreting and disseminating Victorian data on injury deaths, hospital admissions and emergency department presentations across the state, nationally and internationally for more than 30 years.

We are the only research centres in Australia to use both on-road and simulated driver testing. This gives us a unique advantage in accurately investigating and evaluating driver performance.

We have a suite of driving simulators including a fully immersive advanced simulator, a portable 3D simulator (EF-X, that allows us to go into the community and collect large amounts of data) and a range of desktop simulators.

Our purpose-built on-road test vehicles allow us to accurately measure driver performance in real-world settings.
