Research possibilities

A research-intensive university of our size and standing is able to offer you a range of research degrees.

No matter your ambition, we have a course to match.

Research with impact is at the heart of what makes Monash University relevant to today's world, and that research is only as strong as the researchers behind it.

That's why we're doing more than ever to support our researchers and research students.

And it's why we established the Monash University Institute of Graduate Research (MIGR).

What is MIGR?

MIGR is here to support you in your research.

It was established in 2012 and grew out of the Monash Research Graduate School, which was established in 1999.

MIGR is responsible for delivering our doctoral programs and other research degrees, our graduate research scholarships and our research supervisor training activities.

A dedicated service

We place a high priority on the world-class standards of our research students and research supervisors.

MIGR operates as a dedicated service, concerned only with the development and implementation of the practices, programs and policies that help create a great research environment, filled with great researchers.

Changing with the times

We recognise that what you want from your research degree is different to the expectations of generations past.

And, we know today's employers and industry leaders expect graduates to contribute to their organisation from day one.

MIGR staff members are constantly reviewing and expanding our research degrees to make sure that, when you graduate, you're equipped to make the most of your qualification and can take your place as a leader in academia, government, industry and the community.
