"7. Confirmation of candidature

The candidate must satisfactorily complete any period of probationary candidature and confirm candidature in accordance with Part II of the candidature progress management regulations. Where candidature is not confirmed, the candidate will be excluded from candidature."; and

(d) Part II - Termination of Candidature is revoked.

This amendment is consequential upon the the Faculty of Arts making Masters Degrees by Research and Coursework Regulations 2009, and the Faculty of Arts Awards Regulations (Amendment No. 1 2009). The amendment was approved by GRC at Meeting 9/2009 but not promulgated until 1 January 2010.

The amendment inserts in the Schedule to the Masters Degrees by Research (General) Regulations the following degrees:

  • Subsection 7.3 is repealed and subsequent subsections are renumbered
  • In subsection 8.1 for "subsection 7.6" substitute "subsection 7.5".
  • In paragraph 13.3.2 omit "in at least two cases,"
  • In section 18 for "deputy vice chancellor" substitute "Graduate Research Committee"
