Monash College Pty Ltd Privacy StatementAs a controlled entity of Monash University, the Monash College Pty Ltd is required to comply with a number of privacy laws arising from Victorian legislation including the Information Privacy Act 2000 (Vic) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). In addition, as a registered company, the company is also required to comply with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 which includes the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 which extends the Privacy Act (Commonwealth) to the private sector. These privacy laws regulate how personal information is handled throughout its life cycle, from collection to use and disclosure, storage, accessibility and disposal. They apply to any personal information or health information that a person provides to the company. As a whole-owned subsidiary of Monash University, the company complies with the following University policies: Privacy Policy (University) Confidentiality of Student Records Policy (University) Adherence to these policies will generally ensure compliance with University requirements and legislation. However, there may be instances where inadvertent breaches could occur.
