Linear notes

Notes which follow the order of the points made in the lecture are called linear or sequential notes. This is the most commonly used method of taking notes from lectures. If you use a wide margin and take care to identify main points clearly, leaving plenty of space for examples, references and definitions, this method is very flexible.
