Electronic reading

Electronic reading
  • If you are reading internet material, check for its academic credibility, date, author, evidence used, tone, sponsorships and so on.
  • You can always change the screen size to a font that suits you. Check the accessibility options on your computer.
  • You can also change the default browser preferences and background colour under the Preferences section of your internet web browser.
  • Use the Find facility in your web browser, or a web search engine like Google, to get an overview of the text first.
  • If you are reading electronically using an audio format, then you may be able to take notes or segment the sections you need using an audio software editor Opens in a new window to mark particular sections.
One of the ways to ease screen readings is to magnify the screen size and sometimes I change the background colours of my web browser and choose different fonts that are easier for me.
