Here are brief outlines of the resources that are available at Monash University for both staff and students with learning disabilities or mental health issues. The information is also applicable to all other non-disabled students and staff.

The home page of the EDC provides links to a range of services, policies, committees, and training for those either designated as one of the Monash University equity groups (mature-age, indigenous, distance, learning disabled) or for those working with these groups. |

The DLU home page provides links to information about policies and plans on inclusive practices and disability, confidentiality policies, types of assistive technology, the Inclusive Practices Disability Committee (IDPC), student support workers, mental health first aid training and general information for staff and students. |

This page advises students with a disability to first register with the DLU before asking to use the services and equipment available in the library. The page also provides an overview of the resources available including personalised staff help, adaptive technology rooms and adaptive software. |

The names, telephone numbers and faculties of student equity officers are on this web page. These officers, as part of the Student Equity Unit, help the university to provide a learning environment that can be accessed by all students regardless of their backgrounds. |

This network is available to staff only. Contact officers are available within Faculties or Divisions to provide confidential advice and information to staff with a disability and/or chronic medical conditions, regarding the provision of reasonable adjustments to work practices under the Staff Disability Policy. Staff can also approach a DCO for information regarding University support services.
DCO's can assist staff with:
- confidential advice on issues regarding reasonable accommodations in the workplace
- referral to the Disability Liaison Unit (DLU) for disability specific informatio or advice on the provision of reasonable adjustments in the workplace
- referral to other support services such as Discrimination and Harassment Adviser and Community Services
- requests under the Staff Disability Policy for reasonable adjustments - for example adaptive software and ergonomic equipment
- approaching supervisors regarding staff issues related to disability or chronic medical conditions
- raising systemic issues at faculty/divisional meetings and committees.

There is a counsellor attached to the Law Faculty who assists students to Perform well - worry less in managing stress associated with law school studies. |

There is also a counsellor at the Victorian College of Pharmacy (VCP) on the Parkville campus who is available to assist students with both academic and personal issues. Jacqui Martin (x39144), the Academic and Teaching Services Manager at VCP may also be able to assist. |

The Arts Faculty has a Transition and Student Progress (TaSP) Administrative Officer who can advise students on courses and academic progress issues. |

The Science Faculty has a web page which provides students with information about support services that are available to them. |

Learning Support as part of the Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CALT) offers learning support resources and programs which are free of charge to students wishing to improve the quality of their academic English and their approaches to study at all Monash campuses. CALT staff at all campuses work closely with faculty staff. CALT staff at Clayton are located within the faculties. |
