More effective feedback
Ask yourself these questions.
- Is your understanding of feedback the same as the students' understanding?
- Have you explained what sort of feedback you provide?
- Do you have several ways of providing feedback?
- Whose responsibility is it to provide feedback on content, on written expression, on grammar or spelling?
- Have you explained how grades are determined?
- Is the feedback timely?
- Have you offered suggestions on how they can improve their marks?
