How to conduct interviews and focus groups
If you are undertaking qualitative research you may choose to collect data through individual or group interviews or focus groups. These activities call upon your personal skills in communicating and interacting with others and careful listening. The quality of your interview will largely determine the quality of the data you collect. The following pages contain some useful guidelines that you can use to develop these skills.
