Remember that your lecturer and tutor may not be on campus every day of the week as they will be conducting research, classes and course administration. They often set aside certain times during the week for student contact.
Your subject's Unit Guide should lay out the terms of contact, and most lecturers provide this information in a letter to all their students or via their MUSO discussion boards.
