What do you do when you encounter challenges on your learning journey? Some students face sickness, life events that overwhelm them, problems with motivation, frustration with new material, problems with student rights, and so on.
Community Services
Community Services 
offers you support in the areas of:
- chaplaincy
- counselling
- family and child care advice
- financial aid
- housing advice and
- health and medical assistance .
Make use of Counselling support (including after hours telephone counselling) and support with Academic Progress .
You will also find an excellent range of self-help resources when you are ready to do something about:
- procrastination
- stress with examinations
- motivation
- developing independent learning skills, or
- improving memory and concentration.
Student Union
The Student Union provides excellent support for off-campus learners, through the Off-Campus Student Association . This is where you'll find information on scholarships, weekend school activities, information and contacts, as well as your student rights.
Library
When you are faced with a big assignment, don't forget the Library services for off-campus students .
Equity and diversity
If you have a disability or long term medical condition, the Disability Liaison Unit supports you so you can fulfil the requirements of your award course as independently as possible. They can also support you in providing materials in an accessible alternative format. Feel free to ask for a Learning Support consultation with CALT or contact your Disability Liaison Officer .
There are also support mechanisms provided by the Student Equity Unit .
Information Technology Services
When computer problems with your student email or difficulties accessing online lectures are taking up time you set aside to study, get in touch with the Information Technology Services for IT help.

If you have difficulties using Monash University Studies Online, MUSO Support can help.

If you need advice about the course you're doing, contact your faculty .
Keep in mind the mechanisms available to you to manage your study programs. Read your Unit Guides carefully for information on:
- special consideration
- requests for extensions on assignment due dates
- deferral / withdrawal.
Remember that procedures can differ from one faculty to another.
