Lecturers and tutors
Although you are expected to develop skills in independent learning, you shouldn't leave it too late to make contact with your lecturer. If you have checked your Unit Guide and read through the information and queries on MUSO 
, and are still having difficulties with your academic work you should take the initiative to make contact with your lecturer. And don't forget there is a range of other Contact people who can help.
Remember that your lecturer and tutor may not be on campus every day of the week as they will be doing research, conducting classes and doing course administration. They often set aside certain times during the week for student contact. Emailing or leaving a phone message is usually more effective than visiting the campus.
Check your Unit Guide to find out the main contact person for a subject. You can search the Staff directory for email addresses and telephone details if these aren't provided in your Unit Guide.
