Fitting DE into my life...

Karen - Bachelor of Science 2nd and 3rd year

"Why off-campus learning? Well, I have another life apart from study and wanted to put it into my life rather than it dominate what I was doing.

The part I enjoyed most was that it allowed me to achieve what I set out to do. What I set out to do was to fulfil my dream and my dream was to go to university.

I was working at the age of 16 and never really had an education and felt that I really wanted something else. I felt that I had something to offer myself and I needed an education to do that so that it is why I'm doing a Bachelor of Science."

Karen's learning strategies...

Time Management

"I have a determined attitude to time management…"

Tools that help

"I found help by asking questions even though I didn't always know what questions to ask…"

Keeping on track

"Friends helped when I had trouble with motivation and I was really struggling…"
