Look into contacts and support
Before you start your studies in earnest, it's a good idea to find out about the network of people – other than your lecturers – who are there to help you in your quest to succeed as an independent off-campus learner.

- Library services for off-campus learners

- Other support including:
- The Student Equity Unit and Disability Liaison Unit (DLU)
- Counselling Services
- Your Student Union including the Off-campus Students' Association.
Get to know your Off-Campus Learning Centre (OCLC)
The OCLC 
provides support in a wide range of areas for off-campus learners.
Student Support liaison officers are your first point of contact on a range of matters including:
- receiving study materials and course information
- assignment submission and returns
- tracking the distribution of your study material.
They can advise you on:
- university contacts, advice and online learning, as well as
- weekend and residential school arrangements.

Library services for off-campus learners
You should get to know the Monash Library and specific services for off-campus learners .
In addition to photocopying articles for you and posting resources, library staff are available to help you with information searches . This can be particularly useful if you need help developing a list of resources for your assignments.
Computer support
Information Technology Services (ITS) can help you get started with your computer account and email. They also provide IT help when problems occur.
Monash University Studies Online (MUSO) is often used by your lecturers to provide information such as lecture notes, important announcements, useful links, assignments, grades and unit outlines. MUSO Support provides assistance to students who use this Monash web-based course management system.

There are other services available that can make your off-campus learning journey more successful. Take some time to explore the services in these areas:
