What problems do the students identify?

Apart from the general business of finding somewhere to live and settling down to life in a new country, there were a number of broad areas of concern in relation to their academic studies which emerged from the students' interviews:

• Choosing the right course
• The stress of the transition period
• Managing their time
• Coping with reading and research
• Classroom teaching and learning
