Library services for all Monash students

You can access the Library’s range of services in a variety of ways – online, through our branches and through Research and Learning skills training our staff provide through the academic program. 

Our online resources are offered through this website, through Moodle and the Library tab of my.monash. They include:

• Library guides – Find out the best resources for any topic; covers a wide range of subjects and useful resources compiled by library staff.
  
• Online tutorials – Discover all about citing and referencing, for example, or how to develop a search strategy.
  
• Lectures online – If you miss a lecture, find out if the recording is available online.
  
• Reading lists -  Your unit’s reading list has been prepared in conjunction with your lecturer and will provide links to articles you need to read.
  
• Past exams – Enter your unit code in Search to find past exam papers.  Practice for the exams by trying to answer questions on past exams. 
  
• MyLoans – renew your books online; sign up for an SMS Reminder so that you don’t forget.
• Reciprocal borrowing - Find out about accessing library loans at another university.
• Purchase suggestion form - Suggest the Library purchases an item.

At our libraries on each campus you can

• borrow books using your Monash ID card – see About borrowing
• access high demand items in the reserve area
• use a computer or your laptop - see Study facilities
• print or photocopy - see Printing, copying and scanning 
• use a room for discussion with your project group -  see Study spaces
• attend a library class  - see Classes and drop-ins
• get advice from a librarian or learning skills adviser at a drop-in session or at a research and learning point. They can advise you on how to tackle your assignment or improve your academic skills.
