If you need to obtain a journal article from another campus, check first whether an electronic version of the same article is available through Search. A book at another campus may also be available to you electronically, for example as an e-book, through Search.
Journals cannot be sent to another campus or lent on postal loan. Instead, you may request a copy of a single article. You can only request one article per issue, or more than one if the articles relate to the same research or course of study. A chapter, or 10 per cent, of a book may also be requested.
Usually the photocopy takes three working days to arrive.
Making a request
- Staff, honours, and postgraduate students can make a Document Delivery request.
- On-campus Monash University students (including Open University Australia students enrolled in Monash University course units) can request intercampus photocopies at the branch information point. Complete a paper request form at the branch information point and pay a small fee in advance. The required article can be delivered to you by mail or electronically to your Monash University email account. The fee (including GST) for this service is $2.70 per article ($5.40 if more than 50 pages). No fee is payable by Gippsland students.
- Off-campus undergraduates should complete an online form; no fee is payable.
