New library website

The new public website has been redesigned to align it with the Monash web presence strategy.

There are some key changes to note when navigating the site

  • The URL has changed. The homepage is now: monash.edu/library
All underlying pages also have new URLs. If you have bookmarked you favourite pages, you'll need to update the links. Automatic redirections are in place to allow time to change links.
  • A new Research and learning skills section provides information what the library is doing in skills development.
This section includes a growing collection of Resources and activities aimed at developing lifelong learners. Here you will find links to online tutorials, classes, library guides and more.
  • All guides to resources have now been redeveloped on the Library guides site.
These include the Information Kiosk, EndNote, government publications, newspapers, research microforms and subject guides.
  • A new summary page for Students has been included. This joins the already existing service pages for Teaching staff, Researchers and Users with a disability.
  • A new ejournal service replaces the old electronic journal pages.
This new service is built into Search and allows you to browse the complete A-Z list, find an ejournal by title or subject, or link to a specific article.
  • The link to the old catalogue has been removed. Two years ago, this service was replaced by Search.
  • Information for non-Monash users has now been gathered into a separate section, Alumni and visitors. Hopefully this will make it easier for those users to find out about the services we provide to the community.
  • Information about our Special collections has been expanded to include more collections and images from those collections.
  • The map and Asian studies inventories have also moved to a new site. Eventually these will be included in the catalogue (Search).
  • The Managing research data section is the information from the former Research data management website. All the content from the previous site has been included, including the Guidelines.
  • Initiatives is another new section. It highlights some of the library's innovative programs.
