About this resource

The STRM is a result of collaboration among National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), as well as the participation of the German and Italian space agencies, to generate a near-global digital elevation model. This version of the SRTM data was purchased by LandInfo World Mapping from the United States Geological Survey in July 2005.
