Library membership

Joining the Library

Members of the public may join the Library by paying a membership fee. Enquire at the information point of your nearest Monash University branch library. You must:

  • have a local address to register
  • bring photographic ID.

A reduced fee is charged for those who wish to have an individual membership limited to the use of Gippsland Library and its collections.

Visitor membership fees

All fees are annual except where otherwise stated. Prices quoted include GST.

  • Open Universities Australia (OUA) students not studying units at Monash, and University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ) students -  $55
  • Individuals -  $220 (annual) $110 (6 months) 
  • Gippsland Library only -  $110

Paying membership fees

  • Individuals and Monash Alumni - pay for Library membership online.
  • OUA and ULANZ members - pay your reduced fee in person at the campus Monash Connect office during office hours. To pay fees out of office hours, OUA and ULANZ members may use Library print/copy cards as debit cards (add value at card cashier machine first). Seek help from information point staff if necessary.
