Tell us about your role at Monash?           

My role at Monash is to provide assistance to students, academic and professional staff in relation to proposed changes in the structure of awards and units, credit for prior studies, Monash Abroad, professional accreditation, student evaluations of units and examination results.

What do you like best about your role?

I enjoy providing assistance to students and staff.

How long have you been at Monash?      

Since 2004. 

What role did you have prior to this one?

Associate Dean (International), Faculty of Law and Management, La Trobe University.

Why did you choose Monash to work?   

Upon retiring from my academic position at La Trobe I was invited to undertake an administrative role: at first as a consultant and later as a full-time appointment.

How did you choose your current career path?

I chose to take this path as it enables me to draw on my academic experience and to make, what I hope, is a valuable contribution to the development of the department, faculty and Monash University.

What do you like most about working at Monash and in your faculty/department?             

The students, and professional and academic staff at Monash University are, in general, good people who work well together — and I think we share a common goal “to improve the human condition”.

How has Monash supported your career development?

The head of the department has provided numerous opportunities for me to make a valuable contribution to the development of the department.
