Staff Profile - Dr Sarah Boyd

Dr Sarah Boyd has created a virtual model that simulates the enzyme-protein interaction throughout our bodies. It’s an exciting new area of science called ‘bioinformatics’ which uses computers to do biological research. This technology has been used to investigate a range of medical conditions including allergies, cancer and inflammatory disease.

This is just one area of research where Monash is making a real and lasting difference in the world.
